I want to say something very supportive, but, I have only experienced war as a soldier. I knew if I could survive until the end of my tour I could leave it all behind. (We didn't think about the PTSD at the time.) But I don't know war that has no end, and where no place is really safe.
My brother, who fought in the Second Lebanon War and also in Gaza last year, said that it's a very different experience when you're fighting vs when you're a civilian. At the front, there was a kind of optimism and a sense of purpose that was absent at home. Not that it was easier, obviously, but it was different. That's why, I think, many people here who aren't fighting choose to do volunteering of some sort.
I am thinking of you daily and sending safe vibes and lots of hugs. I am so sorry you guys are going through this.
